Every Saturday afternoon from 3.00 - 5.00pm there is an English Pronunciation class with Janet - our British volunteer. Students has been practicing some challenge sounds like th, ch, sh.. with her.
Here's a couple of tongue twisters for you to practise:
"Which wrist watch is a Swiss wrist watch"
"The trirty thee thieves thought that it was Thursday"
Besides the tongue twisters, we also played a lot of games which were all fun and dynamic. Hope to see you there this Saturday. Cheers!
We had a great time doing our Character First workshop with the theme of "gratefulness" last February. We are so thankful to the team for all their hard work, they put in such a lot of thought and effot to make such a creative session. It was joy after joy, some of the workers that participated in that event asked us to repeat the workshop for them and their co- workers, so we had another workshop for the workers from HSBC and Friesland Campina (on the right). It was great success. The team loved it and some of the member volunteered to do next workshop in March. See you then!
Marie, our dance professor, held dance classes throughout January. We had 12 students join us, they learnt to stretch out their bodies, exercise to build strong muscles and learned the dance moves for a short choreographed piece. After a month the group could perform this really well. Isn't it great? Most of them enjoyed it so much they are looking forward to the new classes starting.
